Established by Saraswathi Educational Cultural and Charitable Trust in the year 1996, the Institute is governed by a Board of Trustees with Mr. Ravi Gariyali as the Managing Trustee.

The industry offers challenging and exciting careers and the number of students seeking to study Hotel Management in India the traditional home for hotel management training is constantly increasing. The Madras Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (MIHMCT) is committed to offer quality training to those aspiring to be the future managers in the hotel industry

The internship in hotels, restaurants and other suitable catering outlets, both in India & abroad is an integral part of all courses at MIHMCT and is arranged and monitored by MIHMCT. Institute offers 6 months Industrial Exposure Training and one month Winter Training in various star hotels. The students are trained in various departments during their training period. This training period is an important opportunity for students to obtain industrial work experience and to add employment references to their credentials.
